I am writing in response to a news article reporting your recent collegial remarks about me:

Since you were apparently trained in teaching (and academic decorum) by Professor Wagstaff of Huxley College, I assume that when you show images like the one below to your students, your lecture consists of Marx Brothers one-liners like "Who are you gonna believe, me or your own eyes?" and "It's so simple a six-year-old child could understand it...so bring me a six-year-old child, I can't make heads or tails of it."

TONS OF MOLTEN METAL BUBBLING AT 2,500 DEGREES

STILL THINK THIS WAS THE RESULT OF KEROSENE?

We all know kerosene cannot melt steel. Not even a zillion gallons of it can.

So ask yourself...

What happened to the massive 47-steel-column, cross-braced central core
that should have been left piercing 1,350 feet up into the sky?

Where did it go?

Incidentally, “ten thousand gallons” is made to sound like a lot, but do you really know how much that is?
About the size of a 11’x11’x11’ room — roughly the volume of the smallest bedroom in your home.

Or the volume of just one of the thousands of little offices in the Twin Towers.

The volume of each tower was approximately 50 MILLION CUBIC FEET.

One little “10,000-gallon office” would represent a pinprick on the tower!

And it’s supposed to have caused what’s pictured above in LESS THAN 10 SECONDS?!

Alas, the washed brain is a remarkably impervious thing...
