Mike Cook's Hearing Set for 9/24/07 in Covington, KY

I checked the PACER site yesterday and spoke with Mike Cook. He has a hearing date set for Sept. 24, 2007. Mike said this actually could be his 'danger study' hearing although his doctors have already told Mike that they feel he is not a danger to himself or others. Although I have not be told by anyone of the place I would be 99% certain that it will be at the Covington, Ky U.S. Federal Courthouse where his hearing was originally scheduled back on July 3. I would suggest to advertise this fact. I want to make the lawyers and judge in this case as aware as possible that people are closely following Mike's case.

At the Court’s direction a telephone status conference was held on September 14, 2007

with AUSA Laura Voorhees for the United States and Kerry Neff for defendant Cook. The U.S.

Marshal advises that defendant Cook has now been returned to this district at FCI Lexington,

defendant now having orally moved the Court for a bond hearing, and after discussion with

counsel, accordingly; 

IT IS ORDERED that a bond hearing will be held in U.S. District Court at Covington on

September 24, 2007 at 1:30 p.m.
