MUJCA co-founder Dr. Kevin Barrett is celebrating the publication of 9/11 and the American Empire v.2: Christians, Jews and Muslims Speak Out by taking his show on the road. First stop was the Altoona, WI Public Library, where Barrett’s hard-hitting 9/11 truth talk last Friday was well received by an overflow crowd and garnered TWO front-page stories in the conservative local newspaper. Kudos to the organizers and to brave librarians Mary Vernau (Altoona Public Library) and Shu Cheng (Eau Claire Public Library). Mary Vernau was a bit shaken by some hostile calls and emails from Bush leaguers—please thank her and consider making a donation to the Altoona Public Library.

It is crucial to remember that hosting a speaker does not imply 100% agreement with what that speaker has to say! Kevin Barrett and the various librarians, bookstore people, religious, political and student groups who are hosting him obviously do not share identical opinions. Dr. Barrett’s talks have been hosted by Christian, Muslim and interfaith groups, radical socialists, atheists and John Birchers as well as moderates, progressives and libertarians. They may not all agree with Dr. Barrett’s analysis of 9/11, but they do agree that this is America and we all have the right to express our ideas and opinions freely.
